Description

The ML-209 from Toho is a dual-leg (double) shock-absorbing fall-arrest lanyard. It is designed for use in height safety systems where continuous attachment is needed. Using polyester webbing with a robust breaking strength (≈ 25 kN), this lanyard has a built-in energy absorber that limits impact forces to ≤ 6 kN. The hardware includes a durable zinc-plated carabiner at one end and two forged scaffolding hooks at the other end. Toho also adds features for safety and inspection: a colored tracer strand embedded in the webbing which changes or loses color over time (serving as an indicator for replacement), and abrasion-resistant thimbles to protect the webbing loops where they contact metal. Total length is 1.8 m, weight approx 1.65 kg. It complies with EN 355:2002.
