Description

The AW-CSD311 is a photo-electric (also called optical) smoke detector designed for open-area protection in conventional fire alarm systems. It uses a state-of-the-art optical sensing chamber to detect the presence of smoke particles early. It is compatible with most conventional fire alarm control panels, and offers features such as 360° visible LED indication, remote LED output, and non-polarised input for ease of installation. Typical application areas include offices, bedrooms, hotels, archives, and other spaces where early smoke detection is needed.

Wide operating voltage range: 9 – 28 V DC (non-polarised input) allowing for flexible wiring.
Very low standby current (≤100 µA @ 24 V DC) minimizing system power consumption.
Maximum alarm current: ≤15 mA @ 24 V DC (plus the LED on) under typical conditions.
Dual red LEDs provide 360° visible indication; in standby mode the LEDs flash every ~6 seconds, and latch on in an alarm condition.
Remote LED indicator output (2-wire) for remote visual signalling.
Metal shield inside the detector chamber for improved electromagnetic interference resistance.
Operating temperature range: –10 °C to +50 °C (14 °F to 122 °F) and relative humidity up to ≤93% RH non-condensing.
